I dropped into this attractive but brash ristorante June 7, 2001 en route to The Frick Collection, and dined well amid noisy yuppies and a few Hunter College girls. I had a camparisoda, a margherita, an insalata de campo, a glass of decent Chianti, a nice dish of sorbetti, and an espresso. Despite the crush of customers, the staff met my needs promptly and graciously, with about the level of informal friendliness one expects in Italy herself. The food was fine. The cost was perhaps 20% higher than a comparable meal in Little Italy. I would go back. Principal beef: NOISE LEVEL, a sign of clients enjoying themselves.
